Thanks, Tekeal : ) Glad we gave you a good laugh, and I laughed out loud when I read about you holding the handle. I have to do that during nap time. She's so crazy strong I usually have to put my foot against the doorframe! Hope you guys are doing well. xo

Mark - the haircut was a lot of fun for her. She's still talking about it! And I don't think any kid likes getting her hair brushed at this age...

FET - I think like with most things, there are peaks and valleys with the blog. I'm going to try and write once a month, and see how that goes. As for the show, it was through Twitter. They were looking for someone for the show, so I offered my sweet, "no" shouting toddler : )

Happy New Year to you and your family as well Karma! It's been slightly crazy to say the least since before and after Christmas and things are finally starting to clam down some!

Addie is absolutely beautiful and what a personality. You look wonderful as well. We try our best not to say no to Kyle and do the "redirection" and it does work but my goodness, he sure has a stubborn streak to him and he loves to throw things!

I can't believe how fast they are growing though. Some days I feel like I need a pause button!

Kamma, I absolutely loved that video, it sure took me back to when mine were little.
We used the stair time out too only we called it the 'THINKING STAIR' as in if you continue to... (kick the dog) you will need to go sit on the stair and think about how it hurts the dog and why that is not a nice way to behave (or whatever words fit the crime). The day I knew that my son really got it was truly wonderful for me. He had been throwing toys at his sister, I said his name, he looked at me and took himself off to the stair and sat down without being told to go! (he even apologized to his sister later) WOHOO! When the kids were really little I sat on the stair with them and held on tight till they were calm after a while they sat alone with me near by then I moved out of their sight so it didn't appear that I was in a time out with them, because they will soon figure that out and use it to their advantage. My mom used the stair or a chair in the kitchen or the end of her bed (we trembled at that one because it usually meant a spank) but the objective was always the same; calm down and think about how you are behaving and what would be a better way. The best is yet to come, revenge is so sweet, I watched my son sit one of his little dudes on the stairs and tell him he needed to think about a better way to behave. LOL!

still reading though i agree that it gets harder and harder to find NEW subjects to write about. It seems that no matter how much "NEW" Tayleigh comes up with - it seems "OLD" and already written about!!

We still have to go for the first ":haircut" (we will not cut her hair but definietely need to trim it!) but one thing is for sure: It will be an adventure (Tay doesnt even like to get her hair brushed!!!!!).

Dont forget your side trip to Vancouver in August *wink*

hi karma! i just had the BIGGEST laugh watching that ultra sweet video of you and addison- particularly at the point of you sitting and waiting with her while she was on the stair. oh my dear goodness, the millions of us who can relate!!
i put livia in the bathroom for time out and usually hold on to the door handle and use ALL my weight to keep it shut while she tries to open it from inside. (one very funny time she actually was quiet and then knocked before coming out!)

aside from all that, it's so great to actually see you in your beautiful home and get a closer feel of addison's pure adorability. thanks:-) now i'll go read the rest of your post...
