My love of pumpkie? It's in the genes.

I know usually I do a "wordless wednesday" post, but I'm been mute all weekend, so thought I needed to say a thing or two.

First of all, hope all my Canadian friends had a great Thanksgiving weekend. What did you do? What's your fave part of the holiday and/or the meal? (Because we all know much of this weekend is about EATING!) Secondly, I know you're aware of my pumpkin obsession, but my absolute fave way to enjoy this versatile veggie is in pie. Pumpkin pie, with whipped cream. And clearly, it's in the genes as the kidlet downed not one, but two massive pieces of pie over dinner (for the record, I was not responsible for her getting the second piece...)

You can see how she's even eating dropped pie OFF the table - not a piece of that pie was missed! We had a great weekend at the cottage, enjoyed our turkey day with 20 friends and family, a tradition that's been happening since before I was born. My parents have two sets of university friends who all bought land on the same lake and built cottages, and all of us kids grew up together. So now we get together every Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy the beautiful fall leaves, a tasty meal, and great company!

However you celebrated, I hope it was happy and filling : ) Here are a few more pics from the weekend, courtesy of my sis, the awesome photographer.
